The body of Memphis basketball star Lorenzen Wright has been found dead after days of being missing.

The body of the ex NBA player has been found in a wooded area at Hacks Cross and Winchester in southeast Memphis. A law enforcement source confirmed the body was the body of Wright, but the Memphis Police have yet to comment on the finding.

Sources say that the body may have suffered self-inflected gunshot wounds and that the death could be suicide related. Many knew that Lorenzen was suffering financial difficulties which could lead to the assumption of suicide.

Wright was last seen at the Collierville home of Wright's ex-wife, Sherra Robinson Wright. On July 19th, Wright was reported missing after a meeting with his ex-wife involving taking a trip with his kids to Atlanta. It is said Wright was carrying a large amount of cash on him, and although some say early signs of the case show suicide, Wright's family is suspecting foul play.

Police have also confirmed earlier today that they are investigating a 911 hangup call from Wright's cellphone that was made on July 19th, the day he went missing.
